IIL developed several unique vaccines for the first time in the world, such as Theileriosis vaccine for cattle, combination vaccines with Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD), Brucellosis vaccine, Porcine Cysticercosis vaccine. IIL also developed other vaccines such as 7-in-1 canine vaccines, Pentavalent vaccine for children, India’s first indigenously developed Hepatitis A vaccine, etc. which are well accepted in the Indian market.

As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), IIL has adopted several schools and provided infrastructure and nutritional supplements through NDDB’s NFN programme. IIL’s “Gou-Raksha” project serves as a boon to several destitute animals in various Goshalas and Pinjrapole societies. Another important initiative- “Go Green”, a biogas plant for conversion of dung into fertilizer is provided as an assistant to villages for self-sustenance (part of NDDB initiative). Other initiatives which include – “Utkarsh- Rabies control in Bihar”; “Rabies Free Thiruvananthapuram”; “Rural electrification in Muzaffarnagar”: Oxygen Plant – for Covid patients in Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences”; “CCTV Cameras- in Siddipet” etc.
