Quality Mark, a nation-wide initiative by NDDB, helps FBOs demonstrate quality & food safety in the dairy sector. It is a robust system promoting Good-Agriculture-Practices, technological intervention, plant efficiency and brand visibility. Besides, it helps the dairy sector strengthen their traceability by connecting backward-linkage, middle-linkage (plant & laboratory) and the forward-linkage. In order to further strengthen efforts on food safety in the dairy sector, the Dairy Board assisted BIS in integration of Quality Mark into their Product Certification and helped BIS chalkout scheme titled “Conformity Assessment Scheme for Milk and Milk Products ( CAS MMP )” with a unified logo.
The scheme titled “Conformity Assessment Scheme for Milk and Milk Products “ (CAS MMP) notified by BIS and inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister with an objective of “ONE NATION-ONE CERTIFICATION- ONE LOGO” leads to Product – Food Safety Management System – Process certification.
